Mitch Taylor presenting primitive fire starting skills with Survival in the Bush

Towering in at an impressive 6’'5 I have always felt a strong connection with trees and tall shrubberies. I began white water canoeing when I was 10 years old and my first trip was one of the worst I have ever been on. We had an incompetent leader that forgot half of our food, got us lost and made us canoe in metal boats during a thunderstorm. But there was something about the experience that drew me back time and time again. You have remarkable moments and bonding experiences on wilderness trips that you can’t reproduce anywhere else. Whether it be an impromptu dance party to fend of hypothermia during a winter camping trip or seeing who can stand on the gunnels of their boat the longest during a set of rapids. I have recently found a love of introducing people to this world and see the joy in their eyes as they fall in love with the beauty that nature has to offer.
