Packing for a Camping Trip

What Do I Need to Bring Camping?

Many people get overwhelmed with what they need to bring when they go camping. There is too much on the mind about permits, parking, booking time off, finishing up errands at home, etc., that when it comes time to pack people either forget important things or pack way too much. I have come up with a list of the essentials to help you have a stress-free enjoyable weekend in the wilderness!

  • Sleeping bag to snuggle up in after a big day
  • Tent to protect you from the weather and critters
  • Blanket if you get cold easily
  • Pillow
  • Warm set of clothes it can get cold at night

  • Lighter and fire starter to make a fire
  • Stove if you have one if not cooking over the fire is a traditional and fun way to cook as well
  • Pot/kettle to boil water for your relaxing cup of coffee in the morning
  • Food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and lots of snacks!)
